I painted Palm Leaf after a trip to St. Kitts, where we stayed high above the point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. The resort was surrounded by lush, layered tropical foliage in every imaginable shade of green and turquoise. Each plant offered its own shape, rhythm, and quiet beauty, and those details became the inspiration for this series of three tropical leaves.

This Palm Leaf stands alone against a clean white background, allowing its simple, elegant form to take center stage. Soft watercolor transitions and gentle gradients echo the breezy, shaded places that offered both rest and inspiration during our stay. The palette reflects the island’s vibrant calm, capturing the feeling of warm mornings and cool, leafy shadows.
