This piece is a blend of two things that inspire me most. I have always loved warm tropical turquoise waters, and I carry with me the flowers from every place I have called home. The peonies that grew in California, the anemones of Crete, the wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest. Turquoise Bloomscape is a gathering of all those memories in one place.

A large, layered peony anchors the center, its many petals unfolding in soft, ruffled washes. A coral spiral rose nestles beside it, while small red blooms, sprays of orange buds, and full leafy greenery weave through the background. The composition feels like a complete garden vignette rather than a single bouquet, full and abundant from edge to edge.

The bright turquoise background brings warmth and saturation to the palette. Coral, salmon, and true pink tones glow against it, while richer greens add structure and depth. The mix of loose washes and more defined, almost gouache‑like details gives the piece a dynamic, decorative rhythm.
